Using a Centerline

Select the Place Trench tool.

Select a centerline

Select a Featured Definition and, optional, a Name Prefix

Select a start station by a data-point or key-in the value in Start Point Distance

Select an Offset Mode

Select an offset by a data-point or key-in the value in Offset

Select an end station by a data-point or key-in the value in End Point Distance

Select an Elevation Mode

Key-in an Elevation, in the UI or in the cursor prompt

Accept the Trench with a data-point

Free Point (No Centerline Selected)

Select the Place Trench tool.

Right-click for an absolute position (free-point)

Select a Featured Definition and, optional, a Name Prefix

Select a start-point by a data-point

Select an endpoint by a data-point

Select an Elevation Mode (If Elevation Mode Centerline or Closest Rail is select, right-click will set Elevation Mode to Absolute)

Key-in an Elevation, in the UI or in the cursor prompt

Accept the Trench with a data-point

Snap Point for Start-Point (No Centerline Selected)

Select the Place Trench tool.

Right-click for an absolute position (free-point)

Select a Featured Definition and, optional, a Name Prefix

Snap to an existing trench or a Connection Point (Elevation Mode will change to Absolute)

Select an endpoint by a data-point

Key-in an Elevation, in the UI or in the cursor prompt

Accept the Trench with a data-point

Snap Point For Endpoint (No Centerline Selected)

Select the Place Trench tool.

Right-click for an absolute position (free-point)

Select a Featured Definition and, optional, a Name Prefix

Select a start-point by a data-point

Endpoint: Snap to an existing trench or a Connection Point (Elevation Mode will change to Absolute)

Key-in an Elevation, in the UI or in the cursor prompt

Accept the Trench with a data-point

Snap Point For Both Start and Endpoint (No Centerline Selected
